So, that EP that we released absolutely ages ago is on YouTube in full. Here it is, yo.
Also, quick newsflash before we return to neglecting our Tumblr. We’ve been quiet for numerous reasons, none detrimental to the existence of Model Radio though. We’re practising soon, and recording material for (apparently) a split tape. More updates will come when more info surfaces.
In the meantime, enjoy YouTube’s wonderous offerings!
Finally, we have a new, functioning Bandcamp account. The EP tape is up there for free download, as I discovered that the Mediafire link that was up on our page has expired. Listen/download/spam/whatever. Peace!
We’re playing the 1 in 12 Club in Bradford tomorrow, as part of the b-RAD-ford emo all-dayer. A few bands have dropped out unfortunately, but it’s still a bostin’ lineup, so get down as early as you can, fools. Here’s the event page for you too.
You’re also probably aware that the 1 in 12 Club has been suffering financially too, which fucking sucks because it’s honestly one of the best venues in the country. Things are picking up now according to their site, but Joe of What Price, Wonderland? has put together a fundraiser emo compilation for the 1 in 12, which we’re on too. It’s a great comp, and it’s on Bandcamp. Check it aat!
Sincere apologies for how inactive this page has been. We haven’t been able to practise in a while; JJ and Ad have moved to Manchester, where JJ’s doing a crazy masters degree, and I (Sam) am in my final year of university now which is hectic to say the least. But we should be getting some practises done soon, and we’re gonna record a couple of new songs. There was talk of doing a 7” a while back, and hopefully that will materialise.
So things will be picking back up very soon. Good times :)
Also, Speedboat Salesmen have got new tracks on their Bandcamp that are an absolute joy, and my own zine Compassion is into its second issue now. Check these out. Peace x
We practised tonight. We’ve got two new songs pretty much down. The one that was wrote first is nailed, the second one is mostly-nailed. If we get to doing a 7” I think they’ll probably be on it. A 7” is the plan, I really hope it materialises.
Our next show is at Albany Road in Manchester on the 17th September. We’re gonna rock out in that lovely little basement. Sound times!
Of course, I should do. I can’t really explain why.
Unfortunately, we had to drop out of Dirty Summer Fest. But we have two shows lined up. One at Albany Road in Manchester on 17th September, and another one on the 23rd October in Manchester that needs more confirmation.
Our guitarist has also revived his old skramz band Guillotines with the infamous Jake Kent from Power Negi Records. They’re playing shows and shit too soon, they were always a fine listen.
I always say I’m gonna update this Tumblr more often. I hope I stick to my word.
The show yesterday with Bonehouse was awesome. We played pretty sketchy but it was still really cool. Speedboat Salesmen were awesome (I couldn’t get “Man the Fuck Up” out of my head for ages!) and Bonehouse were awesome. So tight, it was great.
Mega thanks to anyone who donated money for our CDs. People were being really generous! And mega thanks to anyone who bought a copy of Compassion. I took a small batch with me yesterday, and I’ve set up a Tumblr and BigCartel for it today. If you could go and follow it, I would seriously love you.
We’re playing the Tiger Lounge in Manchester tomorrow evening with Bonehouse and Speedboat Salesmen. The flyer is on our blog, and here is the Facebook event (smooth hyperlink).
It’s finally came round after creeping on us for some time. It should be righteous. We’ll be giving away a CD version of our EP that JJ has knocked up, and they’re uber-limited and mighty fine. And I (Sam) will be selling this new zine that I’ve started doing. I won’t have too many copies with me. Why so limited?!
So yeah, get down, rock out, feel the power etc. Good times!
